My wife and I sent our child to catholic school becuase the schoold district in which we live is attrocious. In the pulic schools system where we live a senior with a 8th grade reading level and a 9th grade math level is an honor student. That is despicable and these teachers that promote this should be fired and fined for not doing their job. I see the alternate schools suchas cybe or virtual as the wave of the future and as technology gets better, the virtal or cyber schools will improve and surpass anything the public school system can do with the exception of gym and sports. But there again in public schools now students are not required to take gym and only a few are accepted to organized sports.
