You're right. The Stupak amendment was nothing more than 'plausible deniablility' for their Dem counterparts. Not one Republican should have allowed that hollow schill of an amendment to pass.

They keep using Medicare and Social Security as models of success, they've pulled the Kennedy card and have named all of the special interest groups (all set to make out big) supporting this crap. The contradictions and sleazy manuevers they're using are epic.
That's assuming that there will be any more hiring. Jobs saved and created; there may be some created in 2010 but not many saved in DC.
The vote to read the bill on the floor was done at 1:00 A.M. last night. It was voted down by the Democrat majority. Right now the Speaker is circumventing procedure to allow a stall by the Democrats and to shut out any Republican objection. There is nothing resembling the representation of the American people being played out on the Senate floor today.
Time to brace ourselves for the biggest hissy fit ever seen out of the White House and from the progressive minority. The Conservative roar of passion yesterday is far more powerful than the progressive power push.

Not all of these bills are great, but several of them focus on tort reform and opening interstate commerce for insurance, and they do it in far less than 2,000 pages.
Whether or not the majority of the people actually do believe the lies is questionable. A majority of those who voted during the last election believed in the hope hoax at that time. It's @ 49% in polls right now. There was also a lot of voter fraud (ahh, compliments ACORN) in the last general election. Let's not confuse poorly informed majority with the real majority, those who are not real happy about being lied to for their votes.

CO2 (carbon dioxide) is emitted as a by-product of burning oxygen (also known as breathing). CO2 is necessary in the production of oxygen. NASA has stated that data used to show dramatic climate changes were false as the equipment used to obtain the data was defective. Still waiting to see hard, scientific proof of man-made climate change. Everything that is being passed as scientific proof to this point has been discredited with sound and concrete data showing otherwise. Oh please, climate change advocates, give an argument that isn't funded by a corporation set to profit from your hyped-up 'crisis' you call 'man-made climate change'.
