Godly Sheep : Love's Got Big Shoulders

I really liked the last paragraph. Our culture today really repels this kind of love. Many people never take the time and effort to really "bear" somebody else's burdens. Time is so short - we're always so busy. Besides, the world will ask you how you will benefit from the time and energy put into it. Is your return-on-investment worth it? Many times there will be little or no "return" in this world, but the heavenly reward will be unfathomable! Great article...

Godly Sheep : 99 Balloons

Wow, what an incredible story! I thought it was awesome to see all of the friends and family at the "birthday parties" and the sizable crowd at the funeral. It wasn't hard to see that this child and his parents we're very much loved. Thanks God for encouraging support groups. (nit-picky side note: must have been a mistake calling day 96 the 3-month mark)

Godly Sheep : Find the Answer to Your Question with Aardvark

I'll have to check that one out. If you ever want to get a good laugh, post a question on Yahoo Answers. Same type of service except I think you have to be completely incompetent to answer questions there! =) I have tried to post answers myself sometimes when I had a little free time. it's a good way to help people out and it really doesn't take much time to fire off a few answers about something you already know well...

Godly Sheep : Clean Up Your PC With CCleaner

Awesome program for people who need to clean out their PC but are afraid of using software that may delete something important. This is a very safe cleaner that deletes many of the temporary folders that viruses often settle into. I'd also recommend Malwarebytes for a future S.A.A post. It's arguably the best free malware scanner out there and extremely easy to use. By the way, it's okay. Let the Mac users giggle. Maybe if Mac owned 92% of the OS market virus programmers would start to target them. I guess most programming degenerates don't see the point in going after the 5% of computers equipped with a Mac OS... =)

Godly Sheep : Build a Better Banquet

Love the idea of themed banquets! Church banquets always seem to be so cookie-cutter. One year our class was in charge of planning the church V-day banquet and somebody had the idea of all attending couples dressing up as famous couples. It turned out to be a big hit! We had Superman & Louis, salt & pepper, and even two creepy looking people from Lord of the Rings...

Godly Sheep : Poll: Paper or Electronic Bulletins

Considering half our church is on Social security, I think we'd have a huge problem making the all-electronic switch. An option wouldn't be a bad idea but I think the email subscribers would still grab a paper copy at the door if given the chance. What else will we have to put our gum in or read during the choir specials? I think the email copies would end up getting habitually deleted along with the dozens of promotional emails and forwards we go through when clearing our inboxes. In the hands of a captive audience during a long offertory, the paper bulletin is probably still the best way to inform the masses...

Godly Sheep : MMH5 - Five Arguments I Continue To Have With God

I'm with you on #2. We've all heard it a million times: "Pray like it all depends on God and work like it all depends on you". Faith without works is dead so we can't spend all of our time on our knees. But "working" involves making decisions that only make you worry further that you'll stray from God's plan. I think we worry too much about making the perfect dicisions so when the curtain is pulled back in heaven we can see how closely our life was to this mysterious alternate outcome known as "God's will". I really don't think His will for our lives is that linear. Not every choice in life is between good option #1 and bad option #2. EX: Should I take the new job here in town or the other job opportunity out of state? Both locations have a good church, great schools for the kids, etc. Is one of these options "wrong" according to God's will? Or is this just God blessing me with multiple options of where to live and work and raise a family? Like picking your drink at Starbuck's - no wrong answers, just the blessing of choosing between delicious drinks. I think staying in God's will was your choosing to get coffee at starbucks instead of getting plastered at a bar. Also sorry for rambling...

"But I know if we truly knew the splendors of Heaven we wouldn't be having this argument with ourselves" What I was thinking exactly! It's like a wealthy family going in to adopt a poor orphan. The orphan says "can't I stay here and play with my empty box a little longer?" unaware of the fun that awaits him at his new home...
