Zo says it again. I always love hearing from Zo. I'd also love to funk it up a bit at a tea party events, but then the MSM might start editing for sound also. :)
I really do enjoy the show, but I've had to work hard to overlook some of the blatant liberal bias of the show. The double standard has offended me the most. If the show had portrayed a high school boy trying to hook up his single parent and some hot girl's single parent from school, in the hope that they would get together, move in together, and thereby open the posibility of him having easy access sex with his new step sister, that would have been concidered way over the line. But in a recent episode, the gay Kurt charachter was essentially trying to do that same thing to a male character, but when that character made a connection with Kurts father, somehow it was portrayed that Kurt was the victim in this situation, ignoring the fact that his whole intent was an effort to instigate a gay relationship with his soon to be step brother.
I watched the Glenn Beck / Onion video and I thought it was real funny. Not that I thought it would be funny to see Glenn Beck dead, I'm a big fan of what he has to say, and I'm glad he's doing what he's doing. I took the video to be more of a spoof on all the people who have such strong hatred towards him. I ran into one the other day who as soon as he felt that I was in the same camp as Glenn Beck, all of a suddend I didn't deserve the right to have an opinion, and he just turned vile towards anything I had to say. I think it's funny that people have such a strong reaction to him. I get accused of not thinking for myself, but their over-reaction makes me wonder if they've ever even watched his show... or have they all received some liberal memo that says that Glenn Beck is EVIL?
Back in the early 90's when I was getting my B.S. in Criminology, hate crimes were coming into vogue and were often discussed in class. They do nothing to prevent crime, but what they are able to do is get a crime recorded as something much more nefarious than it would normally be. It was near Halloween when some hate crime laws were on the ballot back in the early 90's. A fairly normal 'crime' for the Halloween season was egging. On any random street in America this crime could occur. So if X-number of cars were to get egged on a particular street then they are just chalked up as criminal mischief, but if Y-number of those cars had something that indicated that the owner was gay, such as a bumper sticker, then those crimes were then classified as hate crimes, and they all of a sudden take on a whole new meaning, thereby furthering an agenda showing an increase in hate crimes that needs further laws to protect those persons who are targeted by said "hate". We already prosecuit people depending on the reasoning behind their actions, we don't need to come up with new laws merely to push an agenda after the fact.
