Based on a majority of the comments here, I'd say most people agree with this double standard. If she's an attractive teacher, full steam ahead...no problems with that. If it would have been a female student and male teacher, these same people would be shouting for the death penalty.

This double standard does exist in our judicial system, and society as a whole, doesn't seem to have a big problem with it.

Quit complaining and find another place to live. You choose where to live. It's really that simple. This is not news.

Also, keep the city out of licensing and registering rental housing. If Mayer McGinn has his way, he'll require you to put a bike path through your rental property.

This isn't that unusual at all. Severed feet show up on beaches throughout the world. It's also very common to find them in tennis shoes. Why? After months of sitting at the bottom of the the lake or ocean, the body will eventually decompose. When the foot decides to detach from the body, it will float to the surface if they were wearing tennis shoes because of the rubber/buoyancy in them.

There has been no evidence in any of these cases to show that someone's foot was cut off or any other foul play. This is actually common knowledge, and I'm surprised KOMO fails to mention it in the story. It almost seems like they want you to think there is a foot fetish felon on the loose.

UMMMM. Maybe she shouldn't have gone out in the first place if she didn't have her own car. Maybe she shouldn't be getting drunk. I don't think it's appropriate for a young mother to be going out. She should be home taking care of her child, not out drinking, doing drugs, and having more sex, just so she can raise more terrible children. Totally pathetic!!.I'm sure she's lying too.

1.5 million dollars to solve the gang violence in South King County is way too expensive. All you need to do is purchase a couple taco trucks and put them in strategic locations, and the gangs will swarm to it like a moth to a bright light.
