I agree completely, OldMarine. The electoral college was geniusly put in place to give a voice to the little states and rural America. Without the electoral college, only the most populace cities and states are needed to win an election and that is demonstrably and overwhelmingly liberally bent towards the socialist mindset.
If I were an insurance company and the requirement that vets use their personal health care insurance first passes, the first question I would ask all new insureds is "are you, were you or will you ever be in the military? If yes, then request for insurance is denied. Since a large segment can't be insured, Blamo--the Obamites justify nationalizing insurance. Check off another industry down the tubes.
Minimum Wage. Living Wage. Maximum Wage. Is the next logical step to make all wages uniform in the name of 'fairness'? The justification will be that women as a group make less than men, some minorities make less as a group than other groups "and that just isn't fair" regardless of the underlying reasons, or so say them. Let the free market system work by getting the government out of it.
I agee many voters knew what they were voting for, many others just voted 'democrat' by habit. Although I'm for voting the bums out, or impeaching them when properly warranted, or shaming them out of offfice as appropriate, I am not for term limits in any form other than properly run elections. We 9-12ers can unite and take back our country. Vote the bums out and keep the few good ones.
