I think they were just saying Foles would be more experienced than he was last year's Iowa/Arizona game, when he wasn't even the starter--not that he is more experienced than Stanzi.

Once again, the pollsters have been seduced by flashy numbers put up against weak competition. At least Iowa has a win over a BCS conference team. While I'm amazed that the only match-up of ranked teams this weekend is being completely overlooked by the national media (Gameday will broadcast from Auburn/Clemson), that also might help to explain why so many pollsters are smelling upset. Despite being #9 in the nation, nobody is watching the Hawkeyes. On paper, Arizona looks pretty good right now. But Iowa's win over ISU was as complete a throttling as you're likely to see, and I'd wager the Cyclones could beat The Citadel and Toledo with ease. I suppose all we can hope for is a solid win by the Hawks that gets them some more cred with the suits.

Also: The Hawkeyes scoff at your "home field advantage."

This is outrageous. Any bank, no matter its size, can get robbed. It sounds like the teller did exactly what he/she was supposed to do, which is keep the customers safe and get enough descriptive info for a police report. Get a grip. You have a lot of gall to insult someone who probably had the scare of his/her life.

Exactly. I think Nebraska fans should be thrilled: It's a tough schedule, but you get every marquee team, and all your regional opponents, with the Iowa game hopefully in a permanent place at the end of the season. It's going to be an exciting first season for the Huskers. Tough, but awesome. Looking forward to a great series.

I think you accidentally repeated the Minnesota stats, Marc: Wegher had 15 carries for 26 yards.

Still, I'm surprised that Robinson didn't notch a 100-yard game after Michigan St. Wegher really came on strong toward the end of the season, and truly shined in the Orange Bowl (with a huge 7.1 YPC average). I know it will all come down to how these guys perform in fall camp, and how Ferentz and O'Keefe decide to utilize these three very different but equally capable backs, but in my mind Wegher has to have an advantage based on his end-of-season performance.

If it's outdoors, it won't be in prime-time. I'm all for Big Ten weather, but if the Championship game is about late-season exposure, it would be in the best interests of the conference to have a night game, like the SEC and Big 12. What with the Big Ten's "No-Outdoor-Night-Games-After-October" rule, if it ain't in a dome, say hello to a 3 p.m. kickoff.
