It will work but downloading a premade custom firmware is more pain then anything. B/C there are so many different options that the person who made it prob. doesnt have the EXACT same setup as you do.

I would wait for quickpwn if i were you rather then risk it

Yeah back it up via iTunes then do a fresh install of 3.0 (legit, non-JB) and try it again

If you on a 3G (like i am myself) it is the same as i stated above; If you EVER jailbroke your device before (no matter the model), even if you have restored it several times since then, then you MUST click that option in pwnagetool

Unfortunally i dont have the bootloader file which is necessary for 2G iPhones; I know several sites where it is stored but they all appear to be down at the moment.
