However, the Constitution is not to be interpreted by our changing standards. The laws we write are to be judged against the Constitution . That is judicial review. We seem to be doing this backward.

Reagan beleived that minimal government lead to business growth which enriched everyone. He trusted business. You trust government. Jefferson warned of conglomerates, corporations and goverment becoming too large and invasive. I trust free enterprise and small business. I have never trusted big business or big government. As far as the whole family working to survive, our history was mostly just that. The problem here is lack of balance. Your plan is interesting but needs more thought. I'm with you. My father served 2 tours in Vietnam in the Army. I was born in '59 so I was aware of whwt was happening. It really peeved me when in the early '80's the PX's in Germany were selling Jane Fonda workout tapes. American memories are short and liberals have no honor or spine.
