My twins are seniors. I have been counting down for years for this. They started with so much unbelievable promise and now they are above average. Perhaps this doesn't sound so terrible to you!! (I'm even underplaying this and it's not because I am biased.) This is where most students will end up.. Right about average. The schools have been so incredibly disappointing. I can get very emotional thinking about this.
Take your kids out.
If anyone wants to help kids let us decide where to send them to school and have schools compete for students.
Obama addressing all students sounds like more control of his agenda and he is addressing our impressionable children.
Now I'm at the position of deciding which liberal school to spend 100s of 1000s on.

Well said. Government should stay out of the way and let free market capitalism grow. Even more important is the fact that our freedoms are at danger and it is frightening that many do not even understand this concept.

although I differ when obtaining healthcare, I look for competence and value when spending money anywhere.
Obama will succeed in destroying everything he dislikes about America. i don't see him liking anything so far.
The healthcare system does need changes and government is not the solution to this problem, like most other problems.
