Based at nearby US Air Force Base during the LA riots, and my military leave was set around that weekend. I remember local news channels had Ice-T on the air that night for advice. I was desperately waiting for his response, as he looked back and forth on the screen. He said, "Hey, I'm just a rapper! I can't stop these riots!" That was a good answer coming from him.
