this guy compared a movie about U.S. Navy SEALS to a Nazi propaganda film. oh wait, he clarified his statements by saying that he wasn't calling the actual Navy SEALS Nazis but comparing the "exceedingly high level of propaganda" in both the SEALS higher ups and the Nazis. so in other words, a movie that portrays our military in a positive light is the EXACT SAME THING as a Nazi propaganda film. wow. if this guy doesn't understand why that comparison doesn't fly then...then there's no hope for him.

the unfortunate thing about this is that Parenthood is probably the best show on TV right now, and this comment by this actor just undermines that and proves that he's a blithering idiot with extremely bad judgement. now every time i watch the show and he's on screen, i'm going to be reminded about what he said here. he really should have thought about the impact that his comments would have on viewers before he made them.

on a related note, the very same actor and his fiance have refused to get married until same sex marriage is legalized in the United States. oh noes! i'm sure all of us who oppose same sex marriage will be absolutely devastated to hear that the guy from Punk'd and his girlfriend are going to be 'boycotting' marriage until same sex marriage is legalized. i know i wont be able to sleep tonight knowing this. i'm going to be questioning my stance on the issue because of their brave stance -____-

what a bunch of idiots

So I was reading in the New York Times this morning that the Oscars are "an absurd spectacle of remarkably successful people congratulating themselves for work that barely nudges at the borders of meaningful human achievement." Yeah, that just about sums it up. (and one of the rare times i agree with the NYT)

great, so this schmuck is going to make fun of Republicans in front of an audience he knows will agree whole heatedly with him. how brave and edgy -___-. not that i was going to watch the Oscars anyway. it's just a giant circle jerk of vapid, shallow celebrities. no thanks.

Chris Christie is so bad ass. and he's absolutely right. Obama is never going to state an absolute position on this issue because like many Democrats he wants to have his cake and eat it too. he has zero political courage on the issue, unlike Christie. Go, Chris Christie, go!

great. another story about militant atheists who apparently have nothing better to do than to jam up the court system with pointless lawsuits. i've said it before but i'll say it again, these militant atheists aren't just fine with not practicing religion, but they want to take it a step further and remove all reference from religion from the public square. (and 99% of the time that religion is Christianity. i've never heard an athiest in this country complain or file lawsuits about Muslim or even Jewish symbols or imagery.)

finally, a Governor that stands up for traditional marriage. and in New Jersey of all places. and he's right that the senate and assembly should be focused on the real problems of their state instead of trying in enact social liberal engineering.

so you are saying one cannot be conservative and criticize another conservative, even in good faith?

14 years ago @ Breitbart.tv - Palin 'Not Convinced' ... · 0 replies · +2 points

i think that's fair. i agree with you that it should be judged on a case by case basis, and not put under the banner that anyone who runs for office is automatically courageous because of it. my original point was that running for public office in and of itself CAN be courageous and brave, mostly from the increased public scrutiny for starters.

i mean look at Sarah Palin for example: when she was offered the V.P. slot, she had to have known that rejecting it would've saved her and her family the amount of negativity from the media that she received and that had to weight on her during her decision whether or not to accept it. but she DID accept it, knowing what her and her family were about to go through. that sounds pretty courageous to me.

news flash: giving even the slightest hint of criticism towards Sarah Palin does not make one a liberal.
