The samsung skin - touchwiz- aint perfect. and there are lags at times. [Specially when you have too many apps open.] But just root your phone. and install 'AutoKiller'. It makes sure there is no lag in your system. My Galaxy S has never seen any lag after that! :)

It will be getting 2.2 early Q4, and as for gingerbread.. nothings official. so you dont really know as of now. but if any current phone gets OS updates beyond 2.2 .. you will get it on galaxy s. :) Thanks!

Try restarting and then doing it agai, if you havent done it yet.

Last resort would be a hard reset. Try another product code, if theres a spcific problem with this one.

1.6mb is too low. go through your C drive and move stuff as much as possible to your mass memory. uninstall apps you dont want.

Hello david, Get the product code of your region and then get the latest firmware. you should be getting the required languages. there can be other ways of adding languages, but i dont know about it as of now. will look into it. Let us know if you have any update on this.

Sorry for the late reply. You need to get a product code from your region. I dont know about any other way of getting the chinese language back. Hope its resolved now, since you commented quite a long time back.

Hey Elena .. Sorry to hear about that. N97 battery has been a problem for most people. But 10 hours is too low. From my personal experience and from what i know, you can easily get through one days work with a full recharge. Just check : 1. Close apps which are not required. makes your phone faster as well. 2. I know N97 has been promoted as an internet device. but staying online all the time drains your phone real fast. There is no two ways about saying this. It sucks. what can we do now? dont stay connected online all the time. Avoid using PUSH for emails. 3. Auto dim your phone when in standby or use the side clicker. Hope these helps. And folks please do share your comments on how you manage your n97 battery. Thanks.

from what i understand you need specific settings which you download from vodafone in order to get access to vodafone live. i use vodafone live as well, and even though my settings didnt go. but thats how it works. call the vodafone guys and check out the instructions to download vodafone live settings on your n97. that should work.
