what makes this article less than informative is that there's no time indicated when the incidents occurred nor any sort of sketch of the robber. I've had to go to several news outlets to try and find info.

Still, I"m not a fan of kids and don't think they should be at a movie at 10:40 pm, but there's NO reason to smack the kid. The kid is a product of his parents. Take your ire out on them.

Another crazy thought... why not do what they did in West Seattle. Have EVERYBODY walk, then NOBODY walk. I've seen it other places and it seems to work pretty darn well. Cars all get to move, people all get to move AND you get to cut diagonally across the intersection to get where you're going on foot a little faster.

I agree. What idiot doesn't know that the flashing sign means to keep your butt on the sidewalk and don't start crossing. It's the same everywhere in the US. Just because NYC doesn't enforce, doesn't make it appropriate for Seattle.

I gotta wonder if SPD could issue enough of these jaywalking tickets downtown, lower Queen Anne and on Capitol Hill to pay for that AND put the rest of the $$ into solving the crimes folks have mentioned above.

what does a background check on a renter cost? $35-40? Small price to pay. I realize everybody needs to live somewhere, but I don't feel this woman has a leg to stand on. Wouldn't her own insurance cover the damage, providing her insurance company knew she was renting the house out?

and if you don't like dogs, a fence is a sure way to keep them out.

I guess the only thing that surprises me is that they were so sloppy to leave the other price tag on the item. It's simple to put a new price tag on something, why didn't Kohl's take the time to put the new tag on the item before marking it down like most other stores I visit?

Sale deals like this prey on folks who don't regularly shop there. I guy a particular saline product at Walgreens that was on sale for $1 off a month or so ago with coupon. Kicker was they'd marked it up by the dollar right before the sale. It's back to its regular price this week.
