As far as bean bags and riot shields, the cops were not responding to peaceful protestors blocking an intersection. They were told a crazy, armed, and violent man had already hurt innocent people and was threatening others. They did exactly what they were trained to do and expected of them. Protect civilians, themselves, and stop the threat to public safety.

There are too many questionable police shootings nationwide. From what is reported, this ain't one.
An irrational (naked) violent (stabbed friend) and armed (hammer) man refuses to drop weapon and moves toward officers.
I would have shot him too.
People can be intensely wise, stupid and dangerous at the same time.

Since the Supreme Court now views corporations as people with protected religious beliefs, same sex couples should just form LLC's then merge.
That ought leave the conservatives and courts scratching their heads.

I couldn't agree with you more completely 123. "The problem is others who wish to impose their will on people." Such as their religious beliefs against abortion???? The right telling others what they may or may not do?

People get together in cars and busses too, yet we do not extend legal protections to your Chevrolet, any more than we should to corporations.

I don't ever remember seeing legal documents sitting in the pews on Sunday.
As far as executions, they give conservatives such as yourself erections, not liberals.

I'll believe Hobby Lobby, or any corporation for that matter, has religious concerns and the same rights as a person the very same day that Texas executes one.

I, until last year , lived in the town of Eldora
I have had season passes for 5 years a well as a locker.
Three years ago, after the unfortunate tragedy with the general manager, they started raising prices. It is now more expensive than a season pass at the real mountains.
Even though I lived 5 minutes away, I have bought season passes to Loveland.
When the management of Eldora wakes up, they may realize they are not a world class resort and are indeed dependent upon the locals.
The fact that they do not maintain their current facilities yet want to expand speaks volumes!
Greed will be the death knell for Eldora.
