The rest, like Copp, Adelstein, and others, were Democrats, and had held nearly a decade of hearings around the nation building anecdotal evidence that radio and tv stations aren't hewing to the 1950's model of localism held in high esteem by Copp, but rendered unworkable in the current downsized consolidated world of mass media that has a vastly bigger scope than four decades ago.
