Good day Geofrey. I understand that you are having trouble with color profiling. I have trouble with that all the time especially when dealing with my website. My point is that it does not only happen in making IDs, it is a widespread issue that affects every graphics artist. But it should be easy to fix once you realize the significance of knowing the difference between CMYK and RGB. Also, keep in mind that the calibration of your monitor does not directly relate to the printer because it is related to the software and the software then relates to your printer. What this means is that you need to calibrate the monitor with Photoshop and this is something that you have to do because I do not know your monitor and even if I did, you are still the one who needs to assess if the color is OK and also the resolution (you can fix the resolution by drawing a circle in Photoshop and if the circle looks circle enough to you, then your monitor resolution should be good i.e. 1024x768, 1280x960, etc.)

Now there are several ways to get the right color output:

1. Adjust levels and brightness in Photoshop
2. Change color mode from RGB to CMYK (the printer outputs in CMYK)
3. Adjust brightness in the printer\'s advanced properties
4. Adjust Gamma options also under printer properties
5. Nozzle check to ensure all colors are really coming out
6. Adjust the paper type in printer properties - can be matte, glossy, inkjet quality, etc
7. Adjust the quality in printer properties - can be photo or best photo
8. Uncheck photo enhance in printer properties
9. Explore other adjustment modes in Photoshop
10. Test using inkjet paper or photopaper by cutting it in the shape of the precut (dont use plain paper)

Im sure there are other ways to get what you want but I am hoping the list above will show you the way.
