I see what you are saying, but given that what the witness saw was so brief and was not the entire altercation, I don't see how the witness's testimony alone can tell us what led to it. I do think that the witness testimony has value, but needs to be taken in context and the only way it can be is if the tapes leading up to what the witness saw can be evaluated to hopefully provide a more complete picture of what happened. But this is just my opinion. It's to bad there aren't any surveillance cameras in the area that could answer all of the unanswered questions.

I think you are misunderstanding what Orcas Thunder said. What he/she said was that witness cannot say who started the altercation because he only saw the middle of it and not the beginning, but that the tape may be able to shed more light on to who instigated the altercation and was ultimately responsible for the results of the altercation.

Don't make this a left wing, right wing issue. I am a liberal left wing democrat and I carry a gun and believe in the right to bear arms, but I also believe that Zimmerman should be tried for shooting Martin.
