Proxying between both works as long as they are in different AD sites. when they are in the same AD site 2k10 CAS will redirect to the 2k7 CAS

Hi Brian, in short exchange 2010 will proxy ActiveSync requests to the 2003 mailbox server as long as Integrated authentication is enabled the ActiveSync virtual directory in Exchange 2003.

For exchange 2007 co-existence it can be a proxying or a redirection depending on the device itself.
