As many have said, Bill is a very talented person and has always done positive things in the community. However, no matter how much talent you have, you cannot overcome mis-guided decisions that the ownership of WXUR continues to make.

Case in point....When Bill was on other stations including WRCK, his show was at the top. That also helped that station continue to hold onto listeners for the remainder of the day.

At WXUR, The Keeler Show in the morning has always ranked pretty much last out of about 8-stations. NOT Keeler's fault. The listeners in this area have never warmed up to WXUR, because even for the remainder of the day, and even with their power increase, they are pretty much last. Because of that, it doesn't matter if Bill is on mornings or anyone else, the station just has not shown major growth.

The best talent in the world needs to be on a station that people recognize and respect. WXUR has not reached that status. If it weren't for Bill, WXUR would just be a tiny blimp on a screen.

Let's hope one of the other stations gets smart and hires Bill Keeler. Since this other station is recognized more, along with Keeler's talent, it would be a win, win situation. Only problem is that the easy, most logical solutions never seem to materialize. And, for those of you who may not like the Keeler show, you have to remember, it is just a show or schtick. It's entertainment for adults. Good luck Mr. Keeler.

You have to wonder what the real reason behind the firing was and if the truth will ever come out. Was Mr. Nash fired because of his job performance or is it possible he was fired because he has supported a candidate for Common Council that isn't a buddy of he Mayor?
