That's what you get when you ask a rock singer for political opinion. Contrary to Sting's thoughtful analysis, Obama hasn't a clue as to what he is doing, and he proves it every day. He is still trying to be the community organizer.

Obama will laughably try to paint this as bipartisanship. Just because Snowe is registered as a Republican doesn't mean she isn't basically a liberal at heart. These dopes want to ruin a health care system that works fro 80% of the people in order to help the 20% - and they admit it won't cover all of them anyway. This is nothing more than a power grab by the statist liberals. They have no intention of actually helping people.

This makes total sense to me. They had to give him the award now because there's a good chance there won't be any accomplishments later. Better to get it out of the way.

I would love to know that we all share a common humanity, but there are "certain people' who don't agree with that sentiment. It seems that there always have been, and maybe always will be.

It stands to reason then (the reasoning of liberals) that whites can only be effectively represented by whites.

I have always been frustrated that conservatives will dismiss liberals as "well meaning but simply mistaken". I hope this column sheds more light on the real motivation of the left (as if we need any more evidence). The left will do anything it takes to 1) destroy their perceived enemies, and 2) destroy the American system - that is, capitalism and anything that goes with it, including our freedom. They are totalitarians of the worst kind. I will grudgingly admit that there are a few reasonable liberals remaining, but very few. Most of them are under attack from the left as well.

I think Mayer's answer was very smart. People who look to celebrities for political wisdom are morons. Just because he's a talented musician does not necessarily translate into anything more. He knows which side his bread is buttered on.
