And if you can't add something intelligent or thoughtful to a conversation, you shouldn't join one.

There's no such thing as "watering down sympathy." There's not some set amount of sympathy that you can dole out per day. The only person capable of controlling the degree of sympathy you feel is yourself. Just because good people die before their time doesn't make the loss of other people's lives any less significant.

Yeah, I like those movies too. I actually think Jim Carrey makes a lot more good movies than bad ones. A couple of his early comedies haven't held up over time (imo) and he's taken a couple bad projects, but no one has a perfect filmography. He doesn't try to hold onto past glory either, as evidenced by his not being involved with the "sequels" to The Mask and Dumb and Dumber.

So it's okay for you to call out people that won't watch the movie because of what it depicts and then turn around and refer to an entire region of the country as "homophobic morons"? I'm not questioning your statement that the movie won't do well down in the Bible Belt, but you're being pretty hypocritical.

Automatically makes it terrible? So Eternal Sunshine and Truman Show are "terrible"?

I guess the cold, hard reality of guards missing a retired 50+ year old "preventer" from point blank range with automatic weapons is just too much for little Jason Bourne to handle? Come on.

We're talking about Sin City, not Spy Kids.
