Agreed. Another thing I'm learning is to make sure all of those options are easy to find. Makes sense, but sometimes easy to forget.

Wow, thanks for doing this Paul! I was surprised at first with the stat about 5% of people checking out blogs through Facebook and that email was higher then that. But, then when I thought about it I realized most people like to stay in Facebook (or check it via mobile) and are used to either hitting like or leaving short comments. They aren't there to read blog posts.

Question number 1: Do you create dialog, or proclaim what you know?

Thank you for asking this question. To often we just spit out what we know, assuming that's what people NEED to hear. Great reflection on this chapter!

Great post Lee Ann!

Steve, I agree on this point. (I think, got to think about it some more) I like that idea of communications prodding people to the next step.

Sure thing! I enjoyed going over the chapter again and pulling out the things that have challenged and help me going through this process. Thanks for hosting this blog-book series!

Wayne, thanks. I agree on the questions. They are as much discussion starters as they are challenges to myself and the organization I'm apart of!

Kenny, great thoughts! I couldn't agree with you more on bringing together those who work on the web properties and those who do other brand management and communications. Nothing is more frustrating then when you are getting two different messages from the same organization.

I like the idea of "How did you find out about our church?". Is that something you have just newcomers fill out?

Great post, and great discussion questions! I feel like this is a huge part of the book. So many times we come from "our" point of view with communications (and Guest Services). Love the question, "are we inviting them in, or shutting them out". Thanks Jeff!

Great stuff. What are your big events you use press releases for? Are the press releases digital?

We have noticed a lot of traffic on Facebook too. That's where people are!

So, a good chunk of the people checking these posts our are in some way involved with these communication efforts.

What ways are not working, or you would like to get rid of? What ways do work?
