My university this year has a "memorial" wall in the college of liberal arts' atrium "honoring" American service members killed in Iraq & Afghanistan. This was also the first year that the ROTC detachment had a flag raising ceremony on campus for memorial day. I suspect it was to protest the leftist anti-military wall protest.

I believe that the TEA party phenomena demonstrates that a number of Americans support fiscal dscipline on the part of the public sector & fiduciary responsibility on the part of the private sector. If this is adopted by the GOP platform & actually demonstrated in practice, I believe that the GOP will do well.
