Perhaps if the NY & NYC government raised taxes & increased regulations, more young people would stay (sarcasm...)

re:Oily_Taitz:"The guy who called 13 year old Chelsea Clinton a dog? How is that different than attacking Palin's daughter? "

1. Rush didn't call Chelsea a dog, despite NOW's allegations:

2. Giving you & NOW the benefit of the doubt, there is an order of magtnitude difference between commenting on a person's looks & demanding that they be serially raped.

Putting Sotomayor's quote into context still makes her sound like a bigot. I don't believe that the answer for alleged past bigotry & new bigotry. If judicial impartiality was never an actuality, it was & is always a noble goal that should not be abandoned.

Thanks for the link! FYI, "Noli insipientium inuiurias pati" loosely translates into "don't let the turkeys get you down", or "ont-day et-lay e-thay urkey-stay et-gay ou-ya own-day."

My university this year has a "memorial" wall in the college of liberal arts' atrium "honoring" American service members killed in Iraq & Afghanistan.

This was also the first year that the ROTC detachment had a flag raising ceremony on campus for memorial day. I suspect it was to protest the leftist anti-military wall protest.

I believe that the TEA party phenomena demonstrates that a number of Americans support fiscal dscipline on the part of the public sector & fiduciary responsibility on the part of the private sector. If this is adopted by the GOP platform & actually demonstrated in practice, I believe that the GOP will do well.

I was referencing his "Rolling Stone" interview discussing Americans he met filming Borat:

""I remember, when I was in university I studied history, and there was this one major historian of the Third Reich, Ian Kershaw. And his quote was, 'The path to Auschwitz was paved with indifference.' I know it's not very funny being a comedian talking about the Holocaust, but I think it's an interesting idea that not everyone in Germany had to be a raving anti-Semite. They just had to be apathetic." "

The US is one of the few countries that consistently supports Israel. I really don't appreciate somebody implying that my country is exactly like Nazi Germany.

I'm conflicted. Cohen is a leftwing nutter who thinks the US is worse than Hitler's Germany & Ron Paul is a rightwing truther who thinks the 9/11 attacks were an inside job. I find them both to be equally annoying in their own special way.

Eliminating mortgages seems to be one of the more absurd rationalizations for implementing Sharia that I have ever heard.
