Yes, this is a home one could actually live in. I would. Love the way the house is staggered. It seems to fold in on itself and give extra privacy. I'm thinking of the pool, of course, and me in a bikini. How I'd manage that God only knows, but I'd love to float around in it on a thingy in some privacy.
I was actually born in that city, though I left as a toddler...would love to see the beachline as this country (maybe even the world) keeps closing in the empty spaces.
Well...and yes, I'd develop the garage, 2nd floor. It should be a space with eye-access to the stars!

Why can't you sell the house yourself? What are the consequences? Taxes and stuff. $600, 000 seems low. Wait a minute, no, it doesn't.

Beehive: So sorry to hear the news after all the blogging about your beloved nephew during the Utah dream home. (you were a hoot in that).
I did a very nice thing for someone who cannot do for herself; it's an on-going thing. I will make it in honor of your beautiful son...and you.
YOU are a wonderful person. One of the thousand points of light. Good fortune!

Well, I hope all Obama's busses come up with flat tires on Election Day, but I also think that his strategy is a smart one._On election day you may have to stand a long time, something may be wrong with your ID or registration, you may get sick, your car may break down, it may rain (or a hurricane). But early voting has become so common that you won't even miss that thrill of being in on the action: Everyone else will be voting with you

I'm trapped in a city. Sounds wonderful with a martini, though, and some of those great outdoor 'candleholders' on the market this summer. Terrific. I want a house just to have a porch to have those candle holders. I'm sure Linda will include lots of them.
Does Linda Woodrum do the interior for the blog cabin, too?

Oh God, I could die for #2 and #7. Some of the others are too masculine for me. But I love the unfettered space and minimalism.....the sleekness and no clutter. Thanks!

RE: Industrial chic. That is the commercial space renovated into a residential space, right? Then open space. I have seen these in the country and they are even more spectacular than in the city. Nature all around and then bam! an enormous, enclosed open space interspersed with furniture. Love it. Chic stainless steel mixed with woods is really great for these spaces.
Wish there were more peeks available. When is the reveal?
