Breitbart.tv : WH Spokesman: Americans Want Something that 'Spreads the Sacrifice and Spreads the Prosperity'

Notice the not-so-subtle suggestion that it is "un-American" to have strong political convictions. Seriously? Another failed attempt at framing the Tea Party and anoyone who is not a lefty as un-American. Jay, you have completely lost all credibility with anyone even remotely paying attention. We are firm in our convictions about the budget because it is sooo figgin' obvious what needs to happen here. Please, please, please stop positioning, slandering, and lying and begin leading. I'm not holding my breath though.

Breitbart.tv : $500 Million Obama Administration Program Will Help Kids 'Sit Still' in Kindergarten

What nobody is saying is that it's the boys who can't sit still. This is due to different learning styles. Boys are far less likely to sit still when in school, but they are still learning just fine. I am a 35 year old who works from home. My wife constantly points out that I cannot sit still when I am on the phone. Again, it's a difference between the learning styles of boys and girls, but it doesn't mean that boys are not learning. My skeptical mind tells me that the administration knows this and they are looking for another way to immasculate our society and/or dumb-down the male population.

Big Government : Wednesday Open Thread: World Cup Edition

Man, you need to lighten up a bit. Are you able to sleep at night, or do you lie awake worrying about the end of the world? I too am alarmed at the way our government is operating and yes I buy into the fact that a 2nd Great Depression is looming and is being brought on by the economic policies being instituted as we type. But, taking the time to enjoy life just a little bit (be it worm wrestling or the world cup) is a necesity for most people. Otherwise, you will drive yourself crazy. It doesn't take away from our focus on removing O and the libs from power and bringing to light their (horrendous) policies. Sometimes stepping away from the situation is the best thing you can do.

Big Government : Wednesday Open Thread: World Cup Edition

Thanks for the open thread Breitbart. Germany v Spain will be a great game. Looking forward to it. Either way, Holland v Germany/Spain will be a very entertaining finals to watch. Germany and Holland seem to both be hitting their peak at the right time. To everyone who is hating on the beautiful game....at least it isn't hockey....or the NBA....or golf. But seriously, I love listening to people who don't like soccer tell everyone how much they don't like soccer. Most of us actually don't care that you don't like soccer...even the people who don't like soccer don't care that you don't like soccer. Do you even care that you don't like soccer?? I hope you all take comfort in knowing that soccer isn't just for socialist liberals.

Big Journalism : Why the Far Left Hates Baseball

Not really sure what baseball, soccer, hockey, football, etc. have to do with politics. I am a conservative. I listen to Rush, Beck, Hannity and agree with almost everything they say. I read Drudge and Breitbart (obviously). I love soccer. I would rather watch a world cup finals match or any WC game in which the US is playing over ANY other sporting event, even the Superbowl...and yes I am a big fan of the NFL and might even be a bigger fan of MLB. For whatever reason, soccer hasn't caught on in the US like it has in other countries, although that is changing. However, I seriously doubt it will ever compare to the NFL or MLB in terms of popularity in this country and I honestly couldn't care less. It won't diminish the game one bit in my mind. In keeping with the conservative way, if you don't enjoy it then don't watch it. Regarding "what kind of stupid game doesn’t let you use your hands?" Lame argument dude. Do you feel the same way about hockey, lacrosse, golf, tennis, NASCAR, etc.??

Big Hollywood : Natalie Portman: Meat's a Sin, Free Polanski

"What if you find out that carrots feel pain, too? Then what’ll you eat?" "Animals are clearly never at fault" I wonder what her view on abortion is since a fetus feels pain at 8-10 weeks. Just curious.

Big Hollywood : Matt Damon, State Dept. Create Global Warming Propaganda PSA

Good article. Yet another reason to not watch the next "Borne" movie whenever it comes out (the previous of which I really enjoyed). I actually think the point of the video is quite clear; it isn't about the dying/starving children or even global warming it's about "spreading the wealth" from rich nations to poor nations in the name of fairness which is the real goal of the Copenhagen treaty. Global Warming and all of its made-up effects are new props to achieving socialist utopia. I think the last 30 seconds make that very obvious. Shameful and dishonest indeed. If Hollywood wants to solve world hunger and instill basic human rights in 3rd world countries, then democracy and capitalism should be promoted not lies and failed socio-economic models. But that would be imperialism...wouldn't it Matt.
