Steven I love what you say, when you say, serving God should be no sacrifice at all, we owe everything to God, just like Roman 12: 1 talks about

LifeChurch.tv Church Online Blog : Creating Culture (part 1)

I think the internet has greatly expanded our capability to be the Church, because it fosters connectivity in a major way. I'm not sure if the internet can replace meeting in a physical location with other believers, but it can be an awesome supplement to that, as well as a constant reminder that the church is not a building but a body of believers.

Tony Steward:. Blog : Good Really is the Enemy of Great

(Sorry my comment was a little too long had to split it up) Charles and Greg I want to combine both your ideas and propose that although the sum of one person life work may not add up to something great , for example pouring your heart and soul into teaching Sunday school, as long as you life contributes to some great purpose ex. Discipling a kid name Billy Graham in Sunday school, your life really is great, perhaps we don't always achieve greatness on our own but through some collaborative effort (that takes some of the pressure off ;)

Tony I think I understand what you mean by greatness, the idea of greatness comes through in scriptures like John 10:10 "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" And Ephesians 3:20 "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us". Being great means having the fullness of God's will for your life. As Christians we don't have to settle for good relationships, okay families, and alright health, we can have exceedingly abundantly great families, exceptional relationships and excellent health. This idea of fullness, excellence, and greatness also applies to the individual purposes God has placed over each of our lives, I do believe that God has specific things He wants each of us to do and we should pour energy into achieving those purposes. In short we should not settle any place but the destiny God has for us.

www.duregger.net : television...

Well said Sam, I do believe TV as it as is corroding our minds and households, an interesting question to ask however , is how we as Christians can redeem television by making programs that are both entertaining and enriching. This is something that I care a great deal about, and see myself doing in the future Ps. I've been flipping through your blog, you have some really great stuff here, feel free to check mine out http://godspaceblog.wordpress.com/ God Bless

LifeChurch.tv Church Online Blog : Free Broadband Internet

I think it would be awesome if the FCC provided free internet service. I am a blogger and I'm in the habit of giving my blog address to people that I know, yet it is crazy how often I hear people tell me that they don't have regular access to the internet or even a computer. The internet has the capability of being an amazing tool for winning people to Christ and for discipling them but in order for this to happen the way God wants it to we have to make sure everyone has internet access, so I will be praying that this passes.

LifeChurch.tv Church Online Blog : Community Challenge: Resolution (17)

When you all were struggling to define concord this was the thought that came to mind. The church is like an orchestra everyone plays an instrument and when we play under the director of our conductor the Holy spirit, who I believe is the presence of God on the earth who unifies all believers, we make beautiful music. The problem is that there is too much discord in the church, a lot of Christian are doing there own thing playing underneath their own direction. My prayer for this year is that the church would start listening out for the direction of the spirit so that there would be more harmony among us, and that the world would be compelled by the music that we make.
