Thank you for the Kudos Michael! About entering, not exactly. It is patrolled by the Tribal Police and therefor is extremely dangerous to enter without proper permission.

Abandoned Oklahoma : Page Woodson

Hello all and thank you for all your great comments. Just as a reminder, the locations on this site are here for historical purposes only. Each time someone enters the school, it falls into further disrepair. I know that it doesn't seem like you are causing any damage, but each footstep causes the wood to rot faster and the mess harder to clean up. Please respect this location as well as this site. I would hate to see Abandoned Oklahoma have to censor our locations. I know you all understand and we thank you for your continued support!

Abandoned Oklahoma : Henderson Quarter Horses

Hey Steve. Thanks for the comment. I can assure you that when it comes to interesting locations, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What we find interesting might not be to another, and vice versa. So in the tradition of AbandonedOK, we put everything we find out there to the world to enjoy and share their memories. This location is actually a great example. We couldn't find any history on this place in any of the archives we are members of, and left it up to the comment section to do the work for us. I'm not sure if you are the same Steve that posted the great history of the location, but that is what Abandoned Oklahoma is all about. The internet is forever, and this location might not be standing much longer. We hope to help the memory of Dr. Henderson live on forever through these photographs. If you are uncertain about the laws in Oklahoma I suggest contacting an attorney, and reading "The Law" section of the site. Anyways, thanks for viewing and commenting.

Abandoned Oklahoma : Hopewell Baptist Church

Rather easy considering the secretary of the church had the key to let us in. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places and is currently seeking funds to hire Rand Elliot's firm to renovate and re-open this iconic church. You can learn more about it here http://my.preservationnation.org/site/News2?page=... Be sure to look on the right side of the screen, where you can register with just your name and email to vote for the church to win a grant to help pay for construction.

Abandoned Oklahoma : CRI&P-Rock Island Rail Diesel Repair Shop

Agreed Terry! I personally never fly, and always drive the backroads to see all the beautiful Americana! I have also taken the Amtrak out of Oklahoma City and had such a pleasant experience. I could see us using rail in the future as a primary means of long distance travel. Bullet Train anyone?
