West Ham Till I Die : Parish Notice: A New Look for WHTID - Your Views Please

Thanks for the consultation! The site is by far the best fan site. Simplicity is key. It's good to have a small group of key writers without 'guest' writers and 500 words on someones bias rant. The key for me is the mobile capabilities of the site. I often read articles and related posts/replies on my phone and it's great to load over 3G. Fast. Simple. Slick. Perhaps the creation of a 'sections' menu. Include things like 'video highlights' here. Also, include a section that compiles the 'player performance' results for the past month/season total to show graphs that indicate player form according to fans' post match scores. Could be some interesting reading! I know some good people that would host the site as well - great at communication as well! There if it's needed... Thanks again.

Definitely the right game! I'd choose him over Jacobsen any day....he's got less experience, but definitely more passion, commitment, drive and will than a lot of others in this squad!

Hines playing off Ba is no bad thing...between them they'll create/score a goal alone today. Piq needs to step up to the mark and Spector play as if it's a cup game and score a brace again.

True. Big blow, but look at the positives. Spence is massive, and quick. I'm quietly confident he'll be solid for us today... Glad Hines is involved as well. Great on the counter and a good finisher! Gabbidon at the back though...4-1 West Ham. COYI!!

Stuart Attwell - 5 games, 2 reds and 16 yellows; joint 5th for the strictest referee! We should be able to get the points in this one. I am very positive! Good to see a lot of media attention diverted away from us, mostly towards them as well! We have players more than capable of keeping Adams quiet. I wonder if Beattie will cause us a few problems though. Hopefully we'll follow the old "we'll score one more than you" tactic and win in an entertaining 4-2 game. Keane, Obinna and Piq. to be among the goals.

We should have snapped up Wheater when we had a chance! Back up this season, step up to the mark next season in replacement of Upson. In full agreement the board have excelled this window. We have 27 players now; if we can't ship out at least two I wonder who they'll drop from the 25... Seen Konchesky has gone to Nottm Forest?! Great signing for them, start of the slide for him perhaps though...

West Ham Till I Die : Early Team News: Spector in Midfield?

That has made my morning! The image of Avram donning the Claret and Blue and strutting his stuff in the centre circle, albeit a strange one, is more comforting than that of Spector. Hopefully he's off in January anyway! I'm gathering what I can for his plane ticket. I definitely think someone young should step up. What sort of message does it send out if there's a clear vacant spot in the tem and they still don't get in??

I was just going on the evidence of a fantastic, unbeaten pre season run him and Groves took us on...although I know they're not the best judges of a teams ability, results in a pre season can reflect the ability of the management in some ways. It's the cheapest option as well!! ;)

I'd personally love to see Pardew back! I'd promote Groves or Keen as well to Assistant, (unless we could get Wilkind!) and bring in Di Canio and Lomas as Coaches. Surely Grant has to walk if we don't get 3 points Saturday?! He's been judged after his alloted 12 games; one win, (albeit a great derby win) simply no't cut it in the top flight. Any chance of starting a poll as to a new manager?! COYI!

West Ham Till I Die : 88% Say Avram Grant Must Go

Well said, mate! Couldn't agree more. Someone out there has the ability and the desire to play for us - East London is a big area! Bring in some of the reserves and see what hey've got - we haven't got much to lose. Getting rid of LBM and DYER would save us probably considerably over £100k per week - good LORD - Icorrect myself: I work at a school where Dyer's agents kids go - his son just said Dyer is on £90,000 per week?! WTF. Outrageous. ANyway, my original point - we could save £150,000pw I reckon, that's 7 players we could sign that want to prove themselves in our squad and woudl accept £20,000pw. We should introduce Performance Related Pay. Win, you get full pay. Draw, you get half pay. Lose? You haven't done your job, no pay! Haha.

I know nothing of Petrovic really, but if the players don't get on with him then again: be professional!! Do your job regardless. I work with people I don't like, doesn't mean I shy away from what I have to do. As horrible as it would be, we're in the wrong League to do what we have to do - change the entire set up and get a clear first XI. It'd be easier done in the Championship and I hate to admit it, but the table doesn't lie; we're not looking good and we don't have Tevez to help us out this time! Avram wouldn't know what to do even with all the players fit - he'd play the wrong formation and the wrong tactics. We desperately need changes. Bring in Di Canio as Coach, promote Groves/Keen and, unfortunately, start again. Probably chasing promotion back in to the Prem!

Spot on, mate. They've proven that more determination can double our points tally and win 5 times as many games as us! They're an example to the majority of our squad. The home grown players know what's needed - cannot wait to get them back; Collison, Hines, Tomkins as well - he'll be better than Gabbidon. He won't start playing keep-ups with his arms in the box! We have been unlucky with injuries, but we're not the highest in the injury table! One player doesnt' make a team - well, Scott Parker is the exception to the rule! Agree about Noble too.

It p*sses me off watching individuals try and play as a team - no communication. Look at Illunga's 'clever' through ball going completely the wrong way at Liverpool. No one knows what the others are doing. Honestly, it's a shambles. I know I could find 11 people on here that for £30,000pw would put in endless hours to better themselves and play as a team for the success of the club and the pride of wearing the shirt. It's embarassing watching the 'pros' make a mockery of themselves.

Although he's clearly not the best, I reckon Avram's taking a lot of blame that maybe he shouldn't take. I'm not defending him - I agree he's not the right man for the job - but he's not out there playing. Surely, for between £30,000pw and £60,000+pw a professional, experienced, Premier League footballer KNOWS to close down a player, to hold the line or when to get rid of the ball?! These aren't robots pre-programmed to play soley to the managers every word. Surely they must step up to the plate and do thier job? How many people here in an ordinary job may do something a little more because they know it'll help? They aren't kids - they're internationals! Read the game and react. It's not a way to undermine the manager, but to help him! Defence: win the ball, clear the ball. Midfield: close down, read the game, create something ... Attackers: tell others what you want! Play to feet etc, run on to ball or aerially.

West Ham Till I Die : Transfer Gossip: Hello Cruz and Byehrami?

What about a look at Jenas? I know he's Spurs etc. etc. and it'd be dealing with Harry, but he could be good. Probably unrealistic given all the Serie A interest though! On a brighter note - Neymar, (who we have been linked with before) is worried about moving to England and sitting no the bench. We could make an offer of guaranteed 1st team football and bring him in from Brazil! That'd be good...
