Fortunately, I'm too old remember the movie "Lovers and Other Strangers." The younger generations seem to believe any new technology improves our lives and "Social Networking." is what the world of the future is all about. No one wants to look another person directly in the eye and communicate verbally. And anyone who disagrees with this "I-World" is accused of being old fashioned. Get a life, people.

Carr is absolutely correct. And if you say he's just an "old fogey" you are part of the problem he describes. Being on line all the time is destroying us intellectually.

As someone who went through 12 years of elementary and high school with Norm, I can appreciate how much he must have been valued there, as he and Paula have been our treasured life long friends.

Wonder if he ever told you the story of a Halloween long ago and how a Coke school crossing marker in the shape of a jolly policeman ended up on the roof of Kuna High School?

The only good thing about this is the guy is a Muslim and got put down by four rounds from a female officer. He should be reminded of that every 15 minutes. Too bad she didn't put a fifth round in his head.

I lost a lot of respect for the officer for agreeing to the meeting. He's being used. The only people who need some teaching about race relations are Gates and America's biggest racist--Obama.
