It's nice how they try to put a positive twist on screwing over retirees:

"building a shared commitment to health care while offering beneficiaries more flexibility and choices.” A Simpler System that would provide beneficiaries with “open access to providers and less complexity in their health plan.”

Sounds like more sycophant general babble.

If we had a functional Congress maybe they'd realize that they need to pay for the past two wars and raise the money to do so. Yes, that means increasing taxes above the historically low rates they've been at since the start of the Afghan and Iraqi wars.

Well, that's what you get for putting prima donna whiners in the cockpit.

Chaz, You're a moron! Get out of the dark ages and into the 21st century. I served 28 years and see nothing wrong with allowing gays to serve openly in the military. The only people threatened are those with little minds like yours. My wife and I have friends who are gay and they can kick butt as well as anyone else. Gay discrimination is wrong. They are people just like everyone else and they have rights just like anyone else. If you have to discriminate, discriminate against narrow-minded, simpletons like yourself!

So what new technology was economically viable when it was first introduced? Autos? No. Computers? No. Cell phones? No. TVs? No. I-pods? No. Renewable energy will be economically viable as it becomes more prominent in the marketplace and the infrastructure to support it is built up. Just like any other new technology.

I thought part of our reason for moving toward renewable energy was to reduce, if not eliminate, our dependence on foreign oil. That said, I don't see New Mexico's oil and gas industry suffering as bad as these people are making it look. Perhaps this is another example of oil barons feeding misinformation to stir up controversy. In reality, we will probably see lower oil prices in the long run which means the oil barons only put millions instead of billions in their pockets. I have a hard time identifying with people like that.

Unless you were right there with this person when he hit the train and know exactly what was going through his mind and exactly the conditions he was facing at that moment you should withold your judgement. Maybe he erred, maybe other circumstances were involved. You don't know!

Funny how such an immoral person as Dick Cheney can criticize someone for having a "moral weakness."

I certainly agree with what the governor is trying to do. Anything to reduce the incidence of drunk driving and punish repeat offenders to keep them off the road is a step in the right direction no matter who is enacting the legislation. Those of you who are just ranting because you don't like the governor need to find a different forum for your wails.
