This is exactly why the Department of Education must be abolished. Home is the first school. Parents are the first teachers. We must get control of the education of each community's children back to the local community and state where parents, grandparents and others can have direct involvement in the curriculum, etc. The Department of Education is nothing more than an indoctrination tool of the left, great for the union, terrible for the kids.
I hate Obamacare. I despise the debt created by Pelosi, Reid and all those that went along with the passage of a bill they did not even bother to read let alone comprehend. But I am disturbed by the last shot of this video wherein the young man says, "I'm tired of writing blank checks from my generation to yours."
Perhaps, if 'we the people' are not careful, Obama will achieve exactly what he desired if the generations turn against one another over money. The real enemy is not the older generation. The real enemy is the politicians who for years have been bribing all generations with money they, the politicians, first tax away from 'we the people'. All generations need to band together to fight the true enemies of personal freedom, personal responsibility and state sovereignty. The real enemy of all of us is the out-of-control, overbearing federal government. We must stand strong against the destruction of freedom and liberty for all.

At first she begins to make a case for loving someone so much that, IF there were nothing to be done to cease their suffering you would not want for them to continually suffer but I believe the piece she is missing is that she then is appointing herself judge and jury over the definition of "suffering" and totally eliminates God from the picture. She shows no faith in there being a power higher than herself to whom, in her child's hour of suffering, she could turn to and ask for a healing or the child's suffering to cease. Did Hitler think along these lines also? Frightening.
They are special - they are entitled to be irresponsible, self-centered and immature; to make messes and have others clean up after them. Kind of sounds like what Obama and crew are doing doesn't it? The contrast comes down to asking whether this nation wants to have persons in charge that support people acting like adults and picking up after themselves or persons that act like spoiled brats who could care less how their behavior affects others. For far too long the brats have been in charge; I hope that on Nov 2 they get put in a very, very long time out!
Absolutely! We the people must join together and demand from our Congressional representatives that the DOE be abolished. This nation will remain a republic only when we return the control of education back to the local school district boards and state legislators who are accessible to the taxpayers. America survived and even excelled in education for decades before the DOE was created in 1979 by Jimmy Carter and began operating in 1980. Our scores are far worse now than before the DOE was created. Abolish the DOE!
Absolutely right, the only group you forgot is that they will go after the private, non-profit Christian schools. They want to shut down all avenues of education save theirs which is aimed at the moral corruption of the hearts and minds of America's youth under the guise of being fair and caring.
