I think you're missing the point that a lot (well, of the few posts I've read) are missing. The ratings system has changed. It's a lot more meaningful to look at the position ranking rather than complaining about the preliminary ratings.

A few rankings to be happy about (by my extremely unofficial tally):
Clady 51st overall lineman in 09 moved up to 33rd overall in 10
Dawkins moves up from 10th to 7th
Bailey sticks at #2
BMarsh moves up from 9 to 7 (assuming we keep his b* a$$)
Our top RB goes from 38th to 29th without taking a down

A few to complain about:
DJ drops from 8th to 28th...WTH!! Does EA really expect the 3-4 to hurt him that bad?
Doom drops from 61st to 191st!!! Okay, maybe this is in anticipation of him moving to OLB and he did have a considerable slump last year...
Our QB went from 11th to 27th. I-N-E-X-C-U-S-A-B-L-E!!!!!!!!!!! ;-)

Notching down the game speed looks quite a bit different then I expected. I like how this looks for improving the rushing offense, but I agree that it looks like the defense is really suffering. It seems like QB accuracy is going to play a huge part in the overall balance. Receivers were getting tons of separation and the pocket was great , but Flacco managed to throw some terrible balls on a few plays.

I thought the fonts on the nameplates were going to be fixed, so the Houshmandzadehs of the world didn't get scrunched. Haynesworth's name looks pretty scrunchy to me.

You gotta love the time that's being taken to add realism to the look (e.g. yard markers, refs, kickers nets), yet all of the camera men are pointing away from the action.
