Brilliant strategy.

BTW, buy my portrait of S.E. Cupp on Ebay; a portion of the selling price goes to the Hannah Giles defense fund:

Just watched the pilot on Hulu and I thought it was great. Given how much time it takes for a program to be written, produced, and aired I don't think they imagined how prescient the story would be, so my hope is that the writers (and the new producer) will serve the story first in the later episodes so we dont have another Battlestar Galactica which I was interested to see until I read Jonah Goldberg's piece in Commentary:

The moment the girl says "Don't call your wife 'Baby'" is one of the most powerful turn arounds I've ever read in a play. Mamet is a genius.

I agree. This is a great article. I just bookmarked it cause I know it'll come in handy later in my own creative endeavours. Thanks, Russ.

I don't know about this video game comparison. Sometimes when I'm out on the lake and I see a fantastic sunset, or an imposing power plant in the distance I think, that's so CGI. I dont know how those ridiculous looking cat people could look more real. Now Garfield on the other hand! Jeesh, if I saw that big eyed monstrosity in real life I'd kill it with a rake or sickle. I dont own a sickle. I'd get one though. Steel my lassagna, you cgi beast....

Thanks, I'd never seen that before. It was an ad for a limited edition Nokia phone. Very cool.

Stallone got a lot of crap for killing asians in the last one (which was AWESOME), and I'm sure he'll get a lot of crap for killing Mexicans this time around. Kinda sad that he's getting shit here for not going after the right knid of bad guy. I get what Greg is saying, but from what I've read about The Expendables and this one Stallone isn't the best example of a PC filmmaker.

I know I'm gonna get a lot of guff for saying this but maybe it's not all California's fault. No one ever told him to close his borders when he was a kid. Hell, he probably became a pervert after being molested by the Teacher's Unions for all those years. I suppose it's all nature vs. nurture.
