West Ham Till I Die : Should We Sell Carlton Cole

Supposedly he was their stand out player for the last couple of seasons. Hopefully he has the Brazilian footballing brain and skill along with the no nonsense/hard tackling Eastern European style.

Speculation that we maybe after Matt Taylor, good solid player with a killer left foot, a good replacement for Hitz

Hines is hopeful that he can get a new contract with us, Reid I don't think will go, and hope Barrera doesn't leave as well but think after he's good performances for Mexico, there maybe a few clubs after him

This season in the Championship could be a blessing, the like of Reid, Barrera, Hines, Spence and Sears could really progress and gain confidence in winning, and get that winning mentality, with a winning mentality players play better and work harder, for too long West Ham players have not known what a winning mentality is. Onviously only a blessing if we get promoted straight away, and if we do I believe that mentality will push on for the seaons ahead

Dos Santos I would like especially if Barrera stays as those two have a good understanding in the Mexico team, I agree we probably wont get Walker but I hope they try for him and then say well we'll have Hutton instead plus some cash. I'm not sure Bentley would drop a division, he played well whilst on loan at Brum so think a Premiership club will come in for him, but Dos Santos is a good possibility, he plays the way the game should be played on the deck.

Agree Tony, think we could see the Spuds making a double bid for Parker and Green, if so and a player plus cash deal is on offer, would like us to try and get Kyle Walker

Another good wide player is Jimmy Kebe of Reading, he's got good pace, skillful and scores a few goals as well, however I hope Barrera is given a chance as he could make a big impact and make plenty of assists

I really hope we go for him, watched him a few times last season and he knows how to get the ball in the back of the net, if we could get him for £3m then we could have real a steal

How about Peterborough's striker Craig Mackail-Smith? He scored 34 goals last season, has Championship experience, and shouldn't be that expensive plus the Posh have said they will let him move to a bigger club

Well he has to be the man, hopefully he would get to choose his backroom staff as well, so Downes OUT. He would get the whole respect of the players and he would imporve so many players as well. You would think Gollivan would take him on too as he will be cheap

Would love to see Carr as the main man, he would do a really good job, especially with the kids coming through, but I just don't think he wants the job. What if he became a part time coach, helping out at training and was there on match day, his wealth of knowledge on the game and the youngsters would be valuable to any manager?

West Ham Till I Die : Poll Result: You Want Martin O'Neill!

Hearing what Sullivan wants in a manager, the main criteria was for them to be British with preferably a East End background, lots of experience did not seem to be too important as referring to Di Canio, if he had a years worth of managerial experience then he would offer him the job. So a British manager, preferably knowing the West Ham way with at least 1 years experience, looks like Hughton could be boards top choice especially as he will be cheap and could start straight away. Hughton does have experience in managing in the Championship recently, he must be a strong character to have dealt with Ashley at Newcastle, and he did get Newcastle playing good football, but still i'm not 100% sure, would love MON, but like many people have said, would he really come to us, or more importantly, will the board pay for him to come to us and keep out of his business? I do not see dropping down a division a problem, (who would have thought Sven would manage Leicester???) but ultimately the board and manager need to be in sync as to realistically what they want to achieve and where they want to be in the coming seasons

I cannot see Tony Carr wanting the role, otherwise why wouldn't he have taken it before? He already has legendary status, so like Brooking I cant see him wanting to take the position full time and having the great respect he has with the fans slightly tarnished if things went wrong

Steve Bruce won't leave, he has plenty of money to spend at Sunderland, and I cannot see them getting rid of him (thank god), I don't think Poyet will leave Brighton, with him winning them promotion, and moving to their new ground. The board really need to make sure that the manager is the biggest signing of the summer, and need to do everything in their power to get their man, which means shutting up, letting the manager deal with all the transfers and them bringing in their own back room staff. IF they do this, then why wouldn't MON come join us?

A long term plan, the board to keep quiet and for him to have the only say in transfers, then MON could well come to us. I think there is a long term plan, but for the board to shut up and keep there noses and their bi@@h Silkman out of the transfers could be the stumbling block!
