You make a good point, Alec. We're in an up to 16 mb zone but we only get 3, meaning that playing on OnLive is beyond me. But then I thought it was only available in the US anyhow? Gaikai (www.gaikai.com) is the European streaming game website, isn't it?

Er...hang on. Who says real-life graphics mean a game is good? You're not falling into the age old trap of judging a book by its cover are you? What about TF2? The graphics don't have to be real life to make it truly awesome. Or on the other side of the stick, X-men Origins Wolverine, which had great graphics but was awful. Hmmm...I agree with you about the whole DLC thing, and also that doing single-console only releases makes it easier to code them. Owning a PC only, I often find myself left out of major console releases for weeks, months, even forever. Is there any particular reason for this apart from the coding problem or are they just being mean?

I hear you Alex! These teasers are getting worse and worse - that CoD 6 trailer is ridiculous. You see this in TV advertising as well, with adverts for cars or mobiles completely incomprehensible to those not under the influence of several kinds of illegal substances. You can't blame the games designers for following these patterns...can you? Actually, yes. Yes you can. Go ahead and tell them to make real trailers, like Total War do.

As a classical musician, I put forward the idea for an electric string quartet game...actually, on second thoughts, that might not work...but still, why not (say) a jazz band - Sax, Trumpet, Double bass and Drums?
