I'm not sure about this, but Congress may be able to legislate a fast track for drilling if they also change environmental laws, which would have to come first. Naturally, the EPA regulations would have to be reviewed and voided by Congress as well. With a friendly Executive, I believe this can happen.

Then again bad press could hurt the environmentalists. They have never owned up to their share of the responsibility for the flooding of New Orleans. All of what they did years prior to Katrina was able to slide under the radar. Some good ole Congressional hearings may be in order, but not under this administration.

If israel does not agree to the 49 Armistice Borders and the Palestinian state is created by the UN, these borders will have to be imposed on Israel by force. It would give the surrounding states the legal basis to invade Israel for its refusal to obey the UN settlement.

Considering the US intervention in Libya, such an action under Obama, could conceively take place again. The Obama regime could bring pressure to bear on Israel or cut it off from any aid until it complies, which would leave it a vulnerable target for its neighbors.

Make no mistake about it, peace will come in this region when the Palestinians get their wish, and Israel exists no more. For Obama, the problem of US-Muslim relations, would be solved. Don't think for a minute that there are persons within the US government that see this outcome as acceptable.

Unlike the Democrats, the teacher's unions are not a constituency of the Republicans. With what is being taught in public schools and colleges, why should the Republicans do anything for the Leftist teachers and professors except to demand that there is a balance of ideologies in any school receiving federal money. The Republicans will promote competition by way of the charter schools. Since each student is worth a certain amount of money, that money, instead of going to public schools, will go to the charter school. Obama showed his ideological cowardice when he did not support the Washington DC charter schools, though they were doing an excellent job for minority students. Your simple solution for fixing the schools is discipline. Without it the teachers can't teach.

The Republicans, if they win the House, need to make Obama wish his party did not lose it. They MUST NEVER attack the Philosopher King directly, only his policies. They must investigation the Obama administration, including its Czars. It needs to let the people know about the secret tax provisions within ObamaCare, such as the 3.8% federal tax on the sale price of housing and real estate. They must put the corruption of this administration on display so people will not feel badly for the Philosopher King and give him a second chance. California could definitely benefit from Whitman‘s experience. Her focus is the correct one. But the key is the state legislature in Sacramento. So many radical special interests influence that body. Whitman will have to take on the unions, the environmentalists. She is going to have a tough job of it, but Brown is definitely not the answer.
