How interesting that the gubmint wants to tax the hell out of new business, income and benefits to "help the economy and business grow" but proposes exactly the opposite approach to allow the dead-tree media to flourish?

Well which is it? Do we tax to help business grow or do we give tax breaks to make business grow?

Hmm, maybe if they would have kept news on the news page and op-ed on the editorial page, they would not be in the dire straits that they are in now. But hey, propaganda is better for getting gubmint handouts of money that rightfully belongs to WE THE PEOPLE right? More social welfare dumped down the drain to extend the suffering of yet another lost (and worthless) cause.

As has been pointed out but as should be taken to the next level ... enemy combatants are not criminals and thus, have not committed any "crimes" for which they can be convicted. Any liberal college educated lawyer could find numerous technicalities to get them off once in our CIVILIAN courts of "law". (Yes, I use that term very loosely)

Therefore, may I suggest that we DO follow the Geneva Convention that the left seems to revere so much. Let's take a good close look at that document and offer these non-uniformed enemy combatants the same rights that they would be afforded under the beloved Geneva Convention.

So what rights are they granted?

Oh yeah!

NONE!

Looks like according to the Geneva Convention we should just shoot them as spies and subversives and be done with it ... if it bothers the liberals too much, we can just call it a very late term abortion ... and we had to let them die because that was their will anyhow in order to become Martyrs. That seems to be a great justification for their actions does it not?

Gotta love liberal logic.

What is truly frightening is that only five justices stood on the side of the Constitution ... while this may be a pathetic little victory in that sense, and a pathetic little victory certainly trumps a minor defeat ... the fact that only five justices stood by the constitution remains and that is TRULY frightening.

Corporations answer to the ultimate power in the free market ... the consumer. When left untarnished by government regulations that drag them down to the least common denominator, the corporations will always do what they can for their consumers.

It is government who is having a problem answering to anyone and sadly, that is one issue that does not seem to be restricted by party lines. Why is it that the same party government that gave GM and Chrysler ownership to the Unions in favor of the stockholders (People like you who have a 401K and a vested interest in seeing the corporation succeed) also gave us NAFTA and CAFTA and higher taxes all of which took more jobs overseas leaving a major gap for us here at home in job opportunities for we the people? Why is it that Union scale wages drive prices up to pay for union administrators when the average consumer is going to buy the cheapest products ... meaning now more of those products that are made overseas where they do not have to support outrageous union administration fees that take more money from the worker than they ever give back? Why is it that more money is spent on Union administrators than on teachers and students and then those same unions are allowed to donate that "administrative" money back to the same politicians who then give them controlling interest in private corporations? Is there no conflict of interest to be seen there?

Yes and probably rightfully so ... but then again you likely are not burdened with a victim mentality demanding special treatment above and beyond ... in the name of equality ...

I think maybe it is time we define "Good behavior" as that is the prerequisite for sitting judges. Read the words of Madison and Jefferson and realize, if it is contrary to the Constitution, it is blatantly unconstitutional no matter what the SCOTUS may say. If this was the first time this criminal law came before the SCOTUS there is at least some room for a little leniency but ... WHAT THE HAY TOOK SO LONG?

If they do reinstate the fairness doctrine in any form, does that mean that NBC contesting ABC's cozy relationship with Obamao that Obamao will be forced to give equal time to Fox News or will there be some explanation as to why the enforcement of such laws is so arbitrary?

If Algore, the terrorists and these op-ed "news" casters were all to show up wearing thongs ... should we be more concerned about their "little shortcomings" or their "big imaginations"?
