I dunno, maybe for the same reason taxpayers in Marlborough or Enfield pay for trains that people from Fairfield county ride to work in NY? Just a thought.

That being said, having the ferries running for anything but a tourist attraction or a self funded novelty is just silly. If the route is that necessary, why isn't there a bridge?

This is so expected, and so typical of what government does not just in CT, but everywhere. This is yet another example of how much contempt those in the ruling class have for us great unwashed masses in the private sector. They make the smallest amount of cuts that result in the most amount of inconvenience for the public. I'm quite certain that they haven't even looked at the multiple layers of salaried management and analyzed to what degree of useless and redundant they are.

What exactly does a "socialite" do and what value (other than the nice breasts) are they? Esplain to me Lucy. Is there a college course for that?

How did I survive all these years without even knowing what cooling center was? I must be the one in a million.

Good lord, we've become total wimps and slaves to weather. If it snows out a half inch, run for the basement after panic buying of staples. If it gets a little too warm, feighn illness and run for a cooling center. What's next? "Breaking - darkness is on the way again tonight. Police advice people stay indoors and turn on the EPA approved compact fluorescent lamps.

I'm not going to be able to get a stitch of work done today until I find our more details of this intriguing story. Imagine that, a roof on an abandoned rickety building collapses. Why the rush to condemn the building? There's something sinister going on here.

Wish I had known about this earlier. I could have flown my magic ponies down.

Yup, keep doing what you've been doing NH residents and continue to be baffled why nothing changes, or gets worse.

Excellent news for Democrats! Now even the cost to borrow money goes up! More reason to raise taxes even higher. Kudos to the CT Legislature. Great job, great job y'all doing there. You ought to be proud. How could it get any better? I mean really, this is Camelot.
