I bought a tropical 17 acre island in Africa. I packed my tent and spent a few nights there. The island is undeveloped, it has only seen fishermen. The mainland is 8 km from the Island, you look in all directions and the only thing you see is the turquoise sea around you. Bliss! Now I should start looking for investors to develop this into a living space! Although I live only a stone through from the lapping high tide of the sea, and once in a month a tourist pass by on the beach (I get disillusioned by thinking it is my beach), the serenity of the Island is something else! If you can afford purchasing your own private island, don't think twice!
