Boston has been using it since '07. I looked it up. It doesn't seem to have stopped anything.
Don't waste the money.

They do like to sling the pills.
I guess it must be a PTSD thing, because so many of us end up alone.
Your friend is lucky to have you. I don't know if you will ever know how much you're help is appreciated, but I'm sure it is more than you might guess. Military service is hard on everyone envolved.

Yeah, the parking area(s) are a bit of a war zone. I've received excellent care there however. Lots of good people working there. But you do have to plan on making it a day. Nothing moves quickly there.
Quick VA funny:
I was waiting to process a travel claim one day at VA. One gentleman decided that he didn't want to stand in line and cut to the front claiming he was in pain and couldn't wait. EVERYBODY jumped on him saying 'we're all in pain. Take a number...etc." It got me to thinking. There are some 25 people in line. They're all tired, in pain, and with few exceptions, they're all trained to kill...... And this guy thinks its a good idea to take cuts?

What stinks is that he wants VA to feed and house him indefinately. He was told to take care of himself, not that he wouldn't be treated. The VA doctors obviously feel he isn't in need of 24/7 care. Hardly a failing on VA's part. I don't know all the details, so it might be, but I'd be inclined to doubt it. My experience with VA Seattle is that they can't seem to do enough for me. I don't ask much, but they have always been more than willing to do whatever may be needed.

That about sums it up. I'm wondering if by 'treatment' he means 'lodging.' Unless there is some reason he needs to be an inpatient.

You might factor in that his Saturn hit an Escalde. Cadillac wins, Saturn gets pushed back. It's not like hitting a wall, the mass of the other vehicle as well as it's velocity factor in also.

Wow. I used my drivers license as a ticket to freedom. These kids can't seem to throw it all away quickly enough.

I wonder just what exactly these kids thought was so important. Drugs? money? somebody feeling disrespected? Someone wearing the wrong color shirt? What???
