He was elected mostly because he is black, young, "hip"--On TV I specifically remember a black lady jumping up and down exclaiming oh my god we have a black president---As if that was the objective. Oh yes it was. Also during election night the tv kept showing pictures of black people from some other country (I don't remember which one) but what do they have to do with our election? I've seen shirts with obamas face painted with the colors of the african flag! Why not red white and blue? He was elected because he is black plain and simple.
