Dang! Why does the NAAWP have to be so reactionary? I just wrote a book called "God Bless Our Not Completely, but Mostly All Cracker Nation". It just went to press. Now they're going to protest the book since the word "cracker" is in the title. Life is so unfair!

It's the beltway disease; only a few can survive the indoctrination once you enter politics in DC. Bribery and crony capitilism is the standard. When everyone around you speaks a certain language you learn the language so you can keep playing. We need to reduce the power the government has to wield so it cannot be abused. Although a Republican (or even better a Libertarian) is much better than a Democrat, you cannot fully count on anyone once they're elected. Ron Paul is the only person I can think of in Congress who has stuck to his principles and been immovable. There could be a few others but I am not aware of them. Scott Brown is certainly a big disappointment.

Hi Catt. I think you should read this article. It might help explain the efforts to turn everything that gets in Obama's way into a racist issue: http://dailycaller.com/2010/07/20/documents-show-...

That makes me think of the support the liberals (at least in Hollywood) gave that pedophile director Roman Polanski who raped and sodomized an 8th grade girl in front of a crowd at a party. To liberal sexual deviants and most of Hollywood (but I repeat myself), being a pedophile clearly isn't even that bad anymore. There are much worse things you could do, like (gasp), not recycle!!!

I believe you. I actually felt hesitant about adding that since I have never lived in the deep south. Maybe we should never accuse unless we have first hand experience...

Now Obama has those x-hippies as his czars. With the exception of George Soros and union leaders who are just greedy opportunists, most of the people who are dictating policy now are radical, university coddled x-hippies who don't know anything about normal life or how things really work. We need to give more credit to the plain values of the "hayseeds" that Obama, Pelosi and their friends love to look down upon. Less government, more common sense and voluntary community cooperation is the answer.

Well said. The black middle class was actually growing in the 1950's but two things happened. In the 60's President Johson's Great Society with all its welfare programs began. Welfare destroyed self-reliance and broke up black families because if the man was in the home contributing they wouldn't get their check.

Then you had the stupid, lazy, spoiled hippies that created a giant drug culture that oozed into the black neighborhoods in urban centers where the hippies had migrated. Originally blacks defended their neighborhoods but in the 60's that could be dangerous. Soon the drug dealers followed. The war on drugs soon made it very profitable to deal drugs and young kids living in welfare homes saw it as a road to a better existance. Of course it isn't but they probably felt like there wasn't much to lose. More in a second.

Oh Catt, you are so misguided. Why does EVERYTHING have to qualify itself as "non-racist"? What on earth does a call for fiscal responsibility and smaller government have to do with this issue?
I've been a part of the Tea Party movement since the very beginning. Now I cannot say that no racist has ever shown up at a protest ever, anywhere. How could I? But I can tell you that I have never seen signs of racism at any protest or meeting I attended. This is entirely a grass roots movement and it NOT funded by white supremists.

I admit, I live in California and not in the deep south or an urban center with heightened racial tensions. But you are wrong. Most Americans are not racists and we've come so far, why drag us back to a more hostile time just to support liberal politics? The ignorant hate you are spreading is just plain evil and not helpful to anyone.
