I basically agree about Ron Paul, however at this point in time I don't give him press because I think there is a political solution to the US's problems, but rather a Ron Paul campaign is sure to turn a lot of people on to issues that they previously were not aware. I know in my own case Dr. Paul's 08 campaign was an important part of me waking up more and more and learning new things and especially sharing ideas with others.

Ron Paul isn't perfect, some have made the case that he is controlled opposition, which I doubt, but don't totally rule out, but as I said a Ron Paul campaign would help more people begin the slow process of waking up to the Truth.

I have been looking for a source as well, so far Kelso's claim on his forum is the only thing I have which is pretty weak evidence in my opinion.

I have seen his claim parroted as fact several other places but so far nothing original.

To me it's enough that loughner is jewish, so they can't pin this on some "right wing militia group"

I will keep searching, if it turns out to be bad intel, I will remove it or put a disclaimer up.

I will try to hunt down more evidence other than Jamie Kelso's post, that the two families attended the same synagogue. I think it is plausible that they were both families were members but being a in Congress I'm sure you don't spend a lot of time at your real home and instead are in DC, or at various events.

I also think it is plausible that Loughner himself didn't regularly attend the synagogue, so while they technically went to the same one they may have not had much contact.

Did I defend the death of this young child? No.

I think it is ironic however that Giffords supported the deaths of millions of children per year through abortion, and a million civilian deaths in Iraq yet now her life is worth more than these countless millions?

I have found it to be very accurate as well. I tried to use it yesterday on my phone when I saw 2 cops sitting on the side of the road, so I reported it and get about 1/2 mile down the road and realize that they were waiting to take over a funeral procession as it went into their county :) So much for my speed trap.

I was very active in the campaign for Ron and was a donator to Rand's campaign in the beginning as well. I gave not only monetarily but of my own time and gave him all the press I could on this site. However as time went on and he began to show serious deviations from his fathers proven Constitutional track record I began to withdraw support. Ultimately going so far as to speak out against him.

The problem is is that Rand knows better, I don't care what his agenda is or if he thinks being more moderate will somehow gain him "bi partisan" support and thus be able to ram more legislation through. If you know something is right and you choose to say what the public wants to hear than it's wrong.

As Andrew Schiff asked me when I questioned him about Peter's neo conservative "bomb Iran" statements "can't their be any nuance in foreign policy" going on to state that "If Peter ran on RP's foreign policy platform he would be unelectable in CT" Basically what this means is say what it takes to get elected not what the Truth is.

Take Ron Paul for example, he has an exemplary record of saying the truth and only gained worldwide notoriety in the last 5 years of his life. The greatest friend of Truth is time, I have no respect for anyone who "says what it takes to get elected" or follows the marxist mantra of "the end justifies the means"
