If you go to the entrance hall and view the still photos you get to see the powder room.

I sort of saw that - the barn door doesn't have the top rail long enough to be working.... but it is in front of a room of similar size to the guest bedroom - when you see the door in the tour, it describes a furnance - so maybe that's where all the heating is sourced from.... shame really, it could have been a great secret hide out!

I'm lucky enough to work for a company who has offered to match my donation to Haiti dollar for dollar.

I've spent much of the last week in tears reading the news, seeing the pictures and thinking about the huge task ahead of the haitian people. Firstly getting the medical assistance they need and sorting out their infrastructure to get access to clean water, food and much needed sanitation which is the biggest threat to life right now.

I will say that while we are salivating over the dream house, we have to recognize that there is huge amounts of poverty in this country that isn't addressed. If I won the dream house, I'd sell up, pay the taxes, walk away with a substantial amount of savings, give up work and become a foster parent.

haha divided by a common language - I'm British living in America for a few years but I still refer to things how they would be named in England....
Yesterday I learnt that the thing that goes round a bed's base is called a dust ruffle here, rather than a valance in the UK
