New Car! Oh that's so exciting! That Focus styling looks like it scaled up well to the Escape. Why no black interior though? Too hot?

A lot of people I know are looking for new cars, which doesn't happen often. It's such an exciting time! It really gives me the itch to start looking for something new...maybe next year.

You are quite the busy guy. Hopefully you can get a bit of a breather now! I like the picture of the grass in the back of Astrid. Nothing like using your old car for work; I can appreciate that. It's a bummer someone was trying to get into the back of the car though, but a nice testament to the toughness of the old Volvo for not letting that would be burglar into the car.

Oh and Happy (late) Birthday! Did you enjoy your ice cream with Vavon ;)

Hahah! The North Pole's website says that they are closed until May 19th...they must be getting ahead on making toys before the tourist season starts. It sounds like you had a fun little trip to New Mexico. My parents say the same thing about Mexican food in Arizona...it's just way better than what we get up here.

Oh, and what is spaghetti salad? You mentioned it somewhere up above when I was catching up. Is it like pasta salad, just with spaghetti noodles or is it like part of a lettuce salad? Just curious.

Well, speaking of memories...I don't recall the name of the place we ate steak at :( It was in a smaller town, east of Yellowstone Park, maybe in Cody, WY. Although I don't really think you can pick a bad spot to get steak out there. I see you've had your best hotdog ever in Galena so I'm going to flip the table on you and ask you where you got it from. I'm usually in Galena at least a couple times a year. My girlfriend's family from Dubuque likes to go shopping there...it would be a good time to munch on some good hotdog!

I've never heard of NI Labview. It sounds fun though and it seems like Kevin is enjoying it! That's funny story about forgetting the type of car. It's weird how the details in memories end up different from reality. I forget details all the time. It's probably not good for my cognitive future, haha! Happy Tuesday!

I need to get cooking more with that skillet. I made some eggs over the weekend, and they were tasty. They definitely cooked differently in the skillet. A bit slower but much more consistent throughout. I also just wipe it out with some water and then just drop a bit of oil on it and rub it around. I think I'm going to try some stir-fry with it next.

Is Kevin taking a programming class in school or just trying out coding for fun? It's definitely a good thing to have at least a little experience in...I'm sure you know all about that though.

That's a sad story about the dog loosing her friend. I hope she does find a good home.

I see everyone has been eating steak since I last posted and, ironically enough, my girlfriend and I also went out for steak over the weekend! We went to Longhorn Steakhouse, which is like a chain restaurant I believe. It's fairly new to town and we decided to try it out. I'm always a little nervous of chain steak but it was quite tasty and it came with a really good stuffed mushroom. My best steak ever though is the one I had in Wyoming at a local restaurant somewhat near Yellowstone National Park.

After dinner we went to see the movie The Hunger Games. Very intense, they did a great job making me feel generally uncomfortable about everything going on, and rightly so.

It looks like you are kicking us off on the numbers game again! Fun! That's interesting that Elvis' cook made a cookbook. I wonder what The King would eat? Speaking of food, I recently read an article about iron skillet cooking and, realizing that I had one, decided to start using it. I made a Chicago style deep dish pizza in it 2 days ago. Really good! I've got some other things I want to try. Apparently the iron heats better and more evenly, thus cooking the food better, and it is also non-stick. No pizza stuck to it for me (we will see if this stays true)! I definitely like that I don't have to worry about scratching it like you do with Teflon.

Also, would you enjoy a mini or chic headset?
