I suspect we'll see a great many Tory attempts to change the channel today.

The Afgan war reminds me a lot of of the movie, "The Odd Angry Shot." It's the story of a group of Austrailians soldiers in Viet Nam. Life is generally pretty tedious except when the Viey Cong take a bridge down the road. The Austrialian's repeatedly attack the bridge and dislodge the Viet Cong, then return to their barracks, and wait for the Viet Cong to retake the bridge.

Today, we see Canadians repeatedly head down the same stretch of Afgan road. Sometimes the enemy IED's work, sometimes not. At the end of the day, the Canadians return to their base.

It seems pointless to many of us to sacrifice brave Canadian lives in what too often looks like a remake of "Groundhog Day."

about hosertohoosier: dippers tend to get cranky when not included in adult conversations. Look at Jack. Posing in Ottawa while that used car lot inTO goes unattended.

Not , really Mull. 44 prefer the Libs., 33 Harper, 27 none of the above. A tad of strategic voting next time and Harper can go finish his hockey book. (I'm betting it's one of those sticker thingies.)

The 50% preference in the 18-34 age group for either a Liberal majority or minority is interesting. I think it means if the Libs are able to spin a decent tale, they could find themselves with a lot of NDP and Green votes. "just visiting". At least for one election.

The Bloc 10 per center was indeed, way over the line. I'm no Bloc fan, but I think it is repugnant to accuse them of being anxious supporters of child traffickers. Next election is going to be a doozey. The "Harper Party" (bow to Katie) has already defined the guide lines (low lines?). Sadly, I don't believe any party will emerge from the next election with any grace. Pity.

Iggy should tell Harper to shove his apology up his ass. Firstly, this vindictive ass clown of a PM does not carry a whit of sincerity in any deed, thought or action. Secondly, I embarassed having this dumb clod running around the world representing us.
Harper, go finish writing your hockey book. If, it isn't another load of BS you've made up.

McVety sounds as if he'd make a fine tory MP. He just percolates intolerance.
