I am officially certifiable... er I mean certified. I took the second test again today and passed. I am now A+ certified. Now I start the process of getting a paid internship until the call center is up and running. The company managing the call center also has been awarded an IT contract for the DoD, as well as the original DoA IT contract.

If I choose, I can now attempt to get certified for the DoD call center. That means getting the Security cert and the Microsoft Windows cert. But for now, I really need money coming in.

But at least I can breath a little. I actually heard 'Ride of the Valkyries' in my head as I saw my score.

The company that will be running the call center also just got a contract for the DoD which means the security certification. So that is an option at some point if I so choose.

if I pass and get the job, i will be in a call center taking calls from people that are having problems. And most of the stuff that i need to know for the test, I will never use. The call center will be taking calls from employees from the Dept of Agriculture. Windows XP is part of the objectives for the test but I doubt I will ever take a call about it.

The testing site gives you a piece of paper and a pen. I wrote a bunch of stuff down before starting the test. It helped because then I didn't have to take time to think it through. I could just look at what I wrote down. And you don't have to remember it anymore then. LOL

I also really focused on the exam report and really studied the objectives I didn't do well in the first time. I still got some of the same ones wrong, but not all of them, obviously.

Hi everyone. How are you all doing? Well I hope. I took the first test for my A+ Certification again today and I passed it this time. I scored a 776 out of 900 with a 675 minimum needed to pass. Lat time I scored a 655 so I definitely did better. Now I can breathe a little and start focusing on the second test in a few days and will likely take that one in a few weeks.
