Those 3,000 people haven't left...their very ESSENCE has been SANDBLASTED into the still standing structures around World Trade Center... they are still there, in a way...forever..."
uh...Sam doesn't know that? Are you really being serious here?
That's nice that your tourist wife went to "ground zero" and touched the wall and now knows more than New Yorkers. OK. Sorry, even Rudy would laugh at your statement.

I was there, and I think about it DAILY. That doesn't mean we all have to see someone falling to their death.
Few things piss me off as much as people who claim a dissenting opinion is pre-9/11 mentality. Give me a freaking break. I was also there in 1993 when they bombed the WTC the first time and wondered when they were going to finish the job, because there was no way we could stop them. I knew the instant I saw the smoke rising that it was a terrorist attack, and I fully expect them to hit the subways next. Jake - grow up.

Anyway...Rudy made a really, really dumb gaffe. He can take it, I'm sure.

And do you really think anyone in NYC is pretending 9/11 didn't happen? Really? How insulting. You have no idea.

I'm not sure if the left will rise up the way many on the right have. It's a criticism that I have, that we don't get "angry" enough (one of my criticisms of the president as well). I think Ed Schultz is very quickly emerging as the voice of any kind of movement though. This is a good thing. He seems to be the only MSNBC pundit who can make Ron Christie smile (I think they're friends) and he's not afraid to take on his people. We need someone like that with a microphone. Chris Matthews, on the other hand, dismissed those of us who are critical of the HCR bill as "netroots" who don't know anything. I like Chris, but I think it's ok to ask questions (vital, really)

Likewise, I don't get all freaked out about being called a socialist, an idiot, a crazy liberal, or any other term, nor did I lose it when last night someone here called me a c-sucker. (comment was removed so I'll just abbreviate the word).
The left assigned "anti-choice" but did not assign "tea bagger."
